Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer responds to criticism from former team-mate and captain Roy Keane.

Former Manchester United captain described the current squad as “nowhere near good enough”.

After Manchester United’s recent defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, Keane said: “Ole will lose his job working with these players – that’s what is going to happen.”

In response Solskjaer said:

“Roy has always been outspoken. I’m very glad that I’ve got the players that I have here with us,”

He also said: “I’m sure we’ll see a response.”

United will return in action in midweek as they take on Istanbul Basksehir in the Champions League. The Red Devils had an impressive start this season, winning their first two group stage matches by beating PSG and RB Leipzig in Group H.

Solskjaer is still hopeful he believes these victories in Europe prove the capability of his squad.
