The FIFA World Cup 2022 European qualifiers starting today, Featuring Fifty-five teams, including giants France, Germany, Portugal and England, will be competing for 13 spots.
Last year qualifying matches were postponed due do COVID 19, The road to Qatar 2022 begins for groups in the UEFA and Concacaf ones today. Defending champions France, Portugal, Norway and a resurgent Netherlands side are the teams in action in Europe before the spotlight is tossed the lower-ranked nations in the Concacaf region.


How do the FIFA World Cup 2022 European qualifiers work?

The FIFA World Cup 2022 European qualifiers will be played in two stages. 55 European teams are divided in 10 groups of five or six teams each. The draws were done in Zurich in December 2020. Here are the groups:
