The five-time winner of Ballon d’Or believed he had won a fracture, but it wasn’t awarded

Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he proudly wears the Portugal captain’s armband and that he dropped it to the ground in rage because

“AN ENTIRE COUNTRY IS BEING HURT.”

On Saturday, Portugal’s World Cup qualifier against Serbia ended in controversy, as Ronaldo claimed to have a valid goal that was not awarded in injury time.

He responded violently to the final whistle, storming down the tunnel after throwing the armband aside after a 2-2 ties.

THE CASE:

Portugal left a two-goal advantage but launched a late attack with Ronaldo thinking that he scored a spectacular winner when he punched a shot over Serbia goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic.

At the time, Serbian Defender Stefan Mitrovic was adamant about the ball.

Ronaldo was persuaded that the ball passed and TV re-enactments seemed to support this assessment, but the assistant to the referee did not reach the target.

Ronaldo was warned of the arbiter Danny Makkelie after pursuing his protests, which he stormed off the pitch soon afterward – leaving his bracelet behind.

What’s been told?

The iconic reaction of the future elevated his eyebrows, especially the throw of his bracelet, and he took Instagram to justify his behaviour.

“IT IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST PLEASURES OF MY LIFE TO BE A PORTUGUESE TEAM CAPTAIN AND TO FILL ME WITH PRIDE,”

said Ronaldo. “I always give and give everything that will never change for my people.

“THERE ARE, HOWEVER, HARD TIMES TO DEAL WITH, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE FEEL LIKE A WHOLE COUNTRY IS AFFECTED.”

The call for a rallying was given by Portugal facing Luxemburg on Tuesday and Ronaldo.

He said, “Lift your head and now face the next challenge.

“COME ON, PORTUGAL.” “COME ON.”

THE MANAGER HAS NO CRITIQUE:

The contentious incidence, the demanding technologies being adopted, caused the Portuguese Coach Fernando Santos not to be satisfied and the reaction of Ronaldo to discontent and anger.

“I WAS TOLD HE WASN’T RESPONDING WELL,” SAID SANTOS. “THOSE WHO SCORED PORTUGUESE WINNING GOAL ARE NORMALLY FRUSTRATED THAT THEY DIDN’T.”
