Yves Bissouma is reportedly a wanted man at the moment and he’d ‘fit the bill perfectly’ at Arsenal.

This is the view of Kevin Campbell, who believes the Brighton star is the ideal partner for Thomas Partey in the Gunners midfield.

talkSPORT reported earlier this month that Arsenal were ready to lock horns with the Premier League champions for the midfielder’s signature.

A later report claimed that Real Madrid were also interested in signing the 24-year-old Mali international.

The competition appears to be stiff to sign Bissouma but former Arsenal player Campbell believes the Gunners need to do what it takes to get him in.

He told Prime Video Sport: “I think Arsenal could do with a player like him for sure. Thomas Partey needs a partner in midfield with energy and he would fit the bill perfectly.”

Campbell was speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash at Brighton – a match Bissouma played.

His first-half performance saw Arsenal fans call on their club to sign him but Bissouma couldn’t prevent Mikel Arteta’s side from beating the Seagulls.

If Arsenal were to sign Bissouma, match-winner Alexandre Lacazette may not be too happy with that.

Lacazette was hacked to the ground by the Gunners’ rumoured target in stoppage-time as he attempted to run down the clock in the corner flag.
