At the end of the season, the striker leaves Manchester with a huge range of clubs in the Premier and abroad attached to a contract

The Boss of the Arsenal Mikel Arteta paid homage to Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, after the news that it is going to exit the Premier League giants this season.

In his tenure as No.2 to City boss Pep Guardiola, Arteta worked closely with Aguero at Etihad Stadium before transferring to Arsenal to assume the position of head coach.

Aguero will be free at the end of the season, but Arteta has taken a possible 32 year old decision and said, “We’re going to see” when he is asked if he is going and make a telephone call to inquire.

What was Arteta telling us?

The manager of Arsenal said at his Thursday press conference: “Things will be the same for everyone near Sergio. He was one of the key sides of the project.

“TO START BUILDING THIS PROJECT, YOU NEED SOME LEADERSHIP, SOME QUALITY PLAYERS TO GENERATE THOSE TIMES. IT’S NOT JUST BECAUSE HE IS PLAYING, IT’S HIS CHARM, HIS ATTITUDE – EVERYBODY IN THIS CLUB LOVES HIM.”

Under pressure to sign Arsenal on free transfer, Arteta laughed with a grin and said: “We’ll see what happens in the future with him.” Arteta said with a smile and a chuckle.

WHERE’S AGUERO GOING NEXT?

In the summer after he has established himself as perhaps the biggest player ever, the 32-year-old will leave City as a free agent. In its city career, Argentina has achieved 257 goals, being the all-time high scorer of the club.

Aguero helped City to win four Premier League titles, an FA Cup and the five League Cups, and helped City enjoy considerable success.

Barcelona must have kept an eye on the case of Aguero last term in order to take him free of charge during this season. He was 32-year-old and was able to meet up with close friend Lionel Messi and his foreign teammate, but French champion Paris Saint-Germain also showed interest.

Aguero could also remain in the Premier League and Manchester United now is linked to an auditory deal for his services, much like Chelsea and Arsenal. It has already been listed. Also, Juventus was advertised as a future destination.
