Barcelona have beaten Juventus to the signing of Memphis Depay. The striker is expected to play in Spain next season.

Depay will become a free agent in a few weeks’ time and Juve are keeping an eye on his situation.

The bianconeri are looking for a new striker and, with limited funds, signing a top free agent was always an option.

A bid to buy Depay has been linked all season, but Depay has always wanted to join Ronald Koeman at Barça.

According to Todofichayes, the Catalans have reached an agreement with him to play for the team starting next season.

He has agreed a four-year contract until 2025 and will be paid €7 million net per season.

It’s more than he is now paid in France, and Juve could pay him even more, but his heart belongs to Barcelona.

The bianconeri could try to convince him to come to Italy with a better offer, but it will not be easy as they have also suffered financial losses this season.

Depay has been in top form for Lyon this season, with 21 goals and 10 assists in 38 games.
