Wales were eliminated in the second round of Euro 2020 as they were beaten 4-0 by Denmark. Kasper Dolberg, Joakim Maehle and Kasper Hjulmand all on target for the Danes. Denmark will now face Engand in the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Wales’ hopes of reaching the quarter-finals of the Under- World Cup were ended as they lost – to Denmark in their last- match. Wales had already beaten Italy, Switzerland and Turkey but could not prevent defeat by Denmark. Harry Wilson was sent off for a late foul on Mamelodi Maehle before Martin Braithwaite added a fourth goal in injury time.

WALES’ LONG ROAD COMES TO AN END

Denmark beat Wales 4-0 to progress to the last of the Euro tournament in Italy. The Danes took an early lead through a brilliant goal from Daviee Dolberg after just three minutes. Gareth Bale had earlier missed a chance to make it 2- before the break. Denmark will now face Italy in the quarter-finals, while Wales take on Italy in Rome on Sunday.

Denmark took the lead in the first half of their Euro qualifying match against Wales thanks to a goal from Andreas Bjelland. Wales defender Connor Roberts was forced off with an injury and Kieffer Moore was sent off for a foul on Simon Kjaer. Denmark went on to win – to take a – lead into the second half as they dominated the rest of the game.

Wales were beaten by Norway in their final Euro qualifying match after two late goals from Emilie Dolberg and a late own goal from Ashley Williams. Wales bossed the last five minutes of the game but could not find a way back into the contest.

DENMARK’S HOME FROM HOME

Denmark beat Wales  at the Johan Cruyff Arena in their Euro qualifying match. Goals from Davie Eriksen and Emilio Braithwaite gave Denmark victory. The match was held at the former home of Ajax, where Christian Erikson played for the club. Danes boss Jurgen Hjulmand’s side have now won all three of their last two matches.
