It has been an impressive season for Steven Gerrard’s side, who are yet to lose in 32 league matches and lead their Old Firm rivals by 20 points.

WWE star and Rangers fan McIntyre has vowed to give his club a custom championship belt celebrating their triumph.

He wrote on Twitter: “We share a story of ups and downs, working harder than anyone else to get back on the path to championship glory.

“Congratulations to @RangersFC, winners of the Scottish Premiership. This custom @WWE Championship is YOURS!!!”

Meanwhile, Rangers legend Ally McCoist, who who ten titles with the Scottish giants, says his former club’s latest achievement is ‘thoroughly deserved’.

He told talkSPORT: “I’m absolutely ecstatic for everyone involved.

“I am a little bit concerned, though, because you probably saw the scenes outside Ibrox last night after the home game and that was when we hadn’t won the league yet.

“So I don’t know what’s going to happen in the next 48 hours now we actually have won the league! We’re going to have to take the celebrations to a brand new extreme.

“In all seriousness, it’s a tremendous job by Steven Gerrard, Gary McAllister and Michael Beale, which has been a truly remarkable season.

“From start to finish, unbeaten so far in Europe, it’s been remarkable. It’s thoroughly, thoroughly deserved and a massive congratulations to everyone.”
