Inter Milan are interested in signing Liverpool striker Divock Origi in the January transfer window, reports claim.

Antonio Conte wants to sign a back-up to Romelu Lukaku, who has been in superb form with 15 goals in 17 appearances this season.

According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Inter view the Liverpool frontman as an excellent back-up to provide cover for Lukaku.

It is believed the Reds are even willing to part with Champions League hero Origi in January and are listening to offers for the striker as Jurgen Klopp looks to raise funds to sign a defender.

Origi, who joined Liverpool for £10million in 2014 from Lille, is a firm favourite with Reds fans for the huge role he played in the club’s sixth European Cup win two seasons ago, but he has only made eight appearances in all competitions this season

The Belgium international is keen to increase his playing time ahead of the delayed European Championship, set to take place in the summer of 2021.

The 25-year-old is however contracted at Anfield until 2024 but has struggled to get minutes under this season.

The Mail reported earlier this month that Wolves are interested in signing Origi as they wait for Raul Jimenez to return to action from a fractured skull.

The Wanderers’ only natural No.9 is Fabio Silva, who has just one goal to his name so far from the penalty spot.
