Leicester came out firing in the second-half, though, and found themselves leading the tie just six minutes after the restart.

Cengiz Under emphatically beat Luke Daniels after excellent work from Maddison, before the Foxes were awarded a penalty when Tariqe Fosu fouled Youri Tielemans.

The Belgium international, who was captaining Leicester, stepped up to confidently convert the spot-kick.

Maddison killed the contest in the 71st minute when he turned in the rebound from Harvey Barnes’ saved shot.
