Mohamed Salah was at his imperious best as his sublime double helped Liverpool win 3-1 at West Ham.
The ‘Egyptian King’ beautifully curled in the opener before rounding off a fantastic counter-attack with a sublime piece of control and finish. Georginio Wijnaldum added a third shortly before Craig Dawson scored a consolation goal for the Hammers.
The first goal was a lovely strike by Salah, however, the cameras caught Jurgen Klopp and James Milner sharing the joke immediately after the goal went in.
Milner was seen having a lengthy conversation with the Liverpool manager after being replaced by Curtis Jones.
Jones was the player who provided the assist for Salah, immediately justifying the decision to bring the youngster on and Milner saw the funny side of things as he shared a jokey embrace with Klopp.
But the second was all about Salah as a rapid Liverpool counter-attack saw Trent Alexander-Arnold launch the ball to Xherdan Shaqiri, who found the forward with a lofted pass but Salah took it down fantastically before clipping the ball over the onrushing Lukasz Fabianski.
Dawson scored on the half-volley moments after Wijnaldum scored Liverpool’s third, which is where they are in the Premier League table following Leicester’s defeat to Leeds on Sunday.
