Sports Bar host Jason Cundy called it a ‘disastrous’ evening for the north London club after they were beaten 3-1 at home, with Mourinho’s five-at-the-back, long-ball tactics and team selection blamed.

The disappointing performance Liverpool to get their first league win of 2021 and end a run of four games without scoring, in style.

But not only that, Spurs also lost talisman striker Harry Kane to an ankle injury which is set to sideline the skipper for weeks.

And Tottenham fans were not happy, they were not happy at all, as they vented their frustrations on the talkSPORT airwaves.

“I heard Mourinho’s post-match interview just now, he never ever blames himself,” ranted Spurs supporter Trev.

“The set-up was wrong, the substitutes were wrong, the geezer is a dinosaur!

“He sat back against a Liverpool team that was devoid of confidence because they haven’t even won this year, and he sets up in another defensive formation.

“I don’t know what Mourinho’s on to be honest with you.”

Tottenham fan Michael agreed, and insisted he wanted Mourinho out in the summer… even if he wins the club a trophy.

“I want Mourinho out of the club at the end of the season,” he said.

“Get him out! The football is poor!

“We’ve gone from a manager who changed the club and moved us forward, OK we didn’t win anything under Pochettino but we were progressing.

“We brought in Mourinho who might win a trophy, whatever, but he did that at Man United and they got rid of him for the same reason, he was not playing the United way.

Ultimately, let him play the EFL Cup final and if he wins that, great, say thank you for the trophy and then boot him out the door!”

The Sports Bar were also joined by Matt, who was really seeing red by the time it was his turn to speak, as he slated almost the entire Tottenham team.

“We’ve got Ben Davies, pony! Eric Dier, pony! Serge Aurier… God help… I don’t even know how he’s on Tottenham High Road.

“Doherty, not good enough. Lloris… JOE HART! Who brought Joe Hart in?! Harry Winks, awful! Sissoko, waste of money!

“Lamela, rabona and nothing else! Vinicius, supposed to be a Harry Kane replacement!

“Listen, you guys need to understand one thing: Jose is a washed up has-been.”

And things have apparently got so bad for Joe, who is fed up with being let down by his beloved Spurs, that he’s adamant the club is cursed!

Tottenham fan on Sports Bar: “I want Mourinho to win a couple of cups and then I want him sacked!”

“The weak mentality, this crumbling, ‘Spursy’ mentality that other fans like to call it, it persists no matter what,” he explained.

“You can change the manager, you can change the players but the frequency of these individual mistakes in big games, it just keeps on going on.

“Back in 2016 when we had that horrendous game at Chelsea when we blew the title and heads went, a lot of other Spurs fans said to me, ‘it’s just individual mistakes, it’s a young team and they’ll iron it out, we’ll be back strongest next year’.

“But the same thing happens every single year! We get to the Champions League final and it’s another drab performance when we have the opportunity in a big game.

“Then we change the manager, bring in Mourinho who is apparently going to revolutionise the defence and make us solid at the back, we’re no longer going to be ‘Spursy’, and then this!

“The frequency of these individual mistakes leads me to believe it’s something else besides the manager and the players, there’s some sort of aura around the club that means we just crumble!”
