Liverpool’s hopes of beating Chelsea’s record of unbeaten home league matches has gone up in smoke as Burnley beat them 1-0 at Anfield.
A late penalty from Ashley Barnes was all that separated the two sides, consigning Liverpool to a home defeat in the Premier League for the first time since April 2017.
The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side have gone five league matches without a win as their title defence takes a huge blow.
