Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Edinson Cavani are all doubts for Manchester United’s Premier League match against West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday, which may mean a full debut for January signing Amad Diallo, who scored his first goal for the club against AC Milan just days ago.

Rashford and Cavani both missed the Milan match on Thursday night due to previous injuries, while Martial had a problem during the game and was taken off at half-time.

For the second half, Amad came on to substitute the Frenchman and scored his first goal for the club, connecting with a Bruno Fernandes through ball and looping an intelligent header over the onrushing Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Rashford and Cavani are unlikely to be fit in time to face West Ham at the weekend, according to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though Martial is now a doubt as his condition is assessed.

According to ManUtd.com

“Anthony got a whack on his hip, so there’s another forward we need to scan and look at.”

“I definitely hope Marcus is back for next Thursday in Milan. I’m not sure he’ll make Sunday but, fingers crossed, as we’ll need him. Edinson, I don’t think will be ready for Sunday, no.”

Mason Greenwood may be the only known striker in the first-team squad for the visit of West Ham United. If none of the others are able to return in time, the 19-year-old would most likely lead the line, flanked by Daniel James and Amad.

Greenwood has had a tough second full season in the first team, despite the fact that his only goal in the Premier League so far came against West Ham in December.

Amad has yet to make an appearance for United in the Premier League, but he has started three Europa League games in a row, against Real Sociedad and Milan.

FOUR PREMIER LEAGUES

He has been an unused substitute for each of the last four Premier League games, while he was also on the bench when United faced West Ham in the last round of the FA Cup.
