Mohamed Salah has arguably been Liverpool’s best player this season and he showed exactly why during their win over RB Leipzig.

The Egyptian fired in the Reds’ 2-0 triumph in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash against the German side.

Yet some still aren’t totally convinced by his abilities

He now has 24 goals in 34 appearances for the Reds this season and 118 strikes in just 186 appearances overall.

Yet there are still doubters about Salah’s ability, despite all the great things he’s done for the club.

Talk about his future the club hasn’t stopped this season, with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich being linked with him.

However, Liverpool reportedly have their eye on Kylian Mbappe, who fired in a stunning hat-trick during Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-1 mauling of Barcelona on Tuesday night.

It led to discussion on The Sports Bar, with Jason Cundy and Perry Groves arguing who they’d rather have out of Salah and Mbappe if they were in charge of Liverpool.

Cundy is in no doubt he’d rather have Mbappe, but what do Liverpool fans think? Well, Reds fan Sam would rather have the World Cup winner too.

Sam said: “I want to touch on one more thing with the Mbappe and Salah one. Oh mate, it’s Mbappe all day for me! He’s unbelievable, he’s just on another level.

“If Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kevin De Bruyne weren’t around, he’s the best.”

Sam is in no doubt that Mbappe would adapt to the Premier League but can’t see Liverpool signing him.

He added: “He can play anywhere!

“He’s only going to one club and that’s Real Madrid, or maybe Manchester City but I can’t see that…

“If he wants a challenge then he should come to the Premier League but I don’t see him joining Liverpool. Liverpool can’t afford him. Let’s be honest, they cannot afford him.”

Poor Mo! What more does he need to do?
