Newcastle’s winless run in all competitions stretched to eleven matches as they were beaten 2-1 at home to Leeds.
An early strike from Raphinha gave the visiting side a deserved lead at the break.
Unlike what’s been the case in lots of their recent matches, Newcastle came out firing in the second half as Miguel Almiron finished off a well-worked move to beat Illan Meslier.
However, the hosts were behind just four minutes later as an unmarked Jack Harrison’s controlled Raphinha’s searching ball before nonchalantly placing the ball into the corner of the net.
The result will only increase the pressure on Magpies boss Steve Bruce, while fans will also be worried about the direction their club is heading.
But there’s one member of the Toon Army, who strangely will be quite pleased with the result…
More follows…
