He is behind Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey and Dani Ceballos in the pecking order at the Emirates.
Willock, who signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal in September 2019, will be looking to get more playing time under his belt at Newcastle.
The Magpies secured a first win in 10 Premier League matches with a 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday.

Willock has made 78 appearances since breaking into the Arsenal first-team.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have failed in their pursuit of Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury.
