Manchester United’s record away from home this season has been phenomenal and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side can set a Red Devils top flight haul if they avoid defeat in their next game.
United are flying high in the Premier League this season in second place behind rivals Manchester City.
They suffered a shock defeat to Sheffield United on Wednesday in what was their fourth loss at Old Trafford in the 2020/21 campaign.
Solskjaer will be hoping they can get back on track when they travel to the Emirates on Saturday to face Arsenal – with commentary of that game live on talkSPORT.
United have in fact been better away from home this season – having yet to suffer defeat on the road.
They have won more points (26) on the road than any other team winning eight and drawing two.
They are unbeaten in their last 17 away Premier League games in a run that stretches back to January 2020 when they lost 2-0 at Anfield to Liverpool.
It is currently their joint-longest unbeaten run in away games in top-flight history and if they avoid defeat to Arsenal on Saturday it will be a new record.
United will have their work cut out, though, if recent records are anything to go by.
Arsenal have won their last two Premier League matches against Man United, the last time they won three in a row was in 1998 under Arsene Wenger.
Solskajer is yet to win against the Gunners in the four times he’s faced them in the Premier League as Red Devils boss.
Arsenal have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three home games in all competitions, as many as they had in their previous 19 at the Emirates.
The Gunners last recorded four consecutive shutouts at home in April 2019, a run that included a home win over Manchester United.
