Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to offer Arsenal Julian Draxler in a swap deal for Matteo Guendouzi.

The Frenchman has rediscovered his form during a season-long loan spell with Hertha Berlin, scoring twice in 13 appearances.

However, Guendouzi’s future with the Bundesliga club appears to be uncertain following the dismissal of manager Bruno Labbadia, who was replaced by Pal Dardai on Monday.

Guendouzi has been frozen out at Arsenal by Mikel Arteta since allegedly boasting about his wages to Brighton striker Neal Maupay during a 2-1 loss last June.

The midfielder’s attitude was called into question once more when he was seen arguing with Hertha Berlin teammate Matheus Cunha at half-time of a 3-0 defeat to Hoffenheim last week.

And now French outlet L’Equipe claim PSG are set to reignite their interest in Guendouzi.

The Ligue 1 champions wanted to sign Guendouzi, who spent nine years in their academy, before he joined Arsenal for £7million from Lorient in 2018.

It is understood new PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is prepared to let Draxler leave with the playmaker entering the final six months of his contract.

The Germany international, whose appearances have been limited due to a hamstring injury this season, has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past.

The Gunners seem to be addressing their attacking midfield options with the loan arrival of Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard set to be confirmed in the forthcoming days.

Norwegian journalist Pal Gorden Nilson has claimed the 22-year-old snubbed interest from elsewhere to join the Gunners for the rest of the season.

He told talkSPORT 2: “What I’ve heard in Norway is that Arteta called Martin and convinced him to come to Arsenal.

“He will give him a chance, he’s the kind of player they need. It seems like Martin had other options, but somehow he chose Arsenal.

“That tells me Arteta really wants to give him a chance.”
