Patrick Bamford returned to form and inspired a thrilling 3-1 comeback victory for Leeds at Leicester on Sunday.

The Whites striker scored a stunner and set up the other two as Marcelo Bielsa’s men ended the Foxes’ run of nine matches without defeat in style.

All four goals were of the highest quality and it was the hosts who struck first when Harvey Barnes combined brilliantly with James Maddison.

But they were only ahead for a matter of seconds as Stuart Dallas ran onto a cutting Bamford pass and produced a fine finish.

Bamford’s goal was the pick of the bunch, finding the top corner in the 70th minute, having failed to score in his last four games.

And the Englishman unselfishly teed up Jack Harrison to seal a fantastic victory for Leeds and further allay any fears of a relegation struggle this season.

They remain 12th in the table – but sit just four points off the top six and, crucially, 15 clear of the drop zone.

Leicester, meanwhile, will rue missed opportunities at 1-1 as they failed to climb into second place and could end up fourth by Sunday night.

Brendan Rodgers’ side felt the absence of key man Jamie Vardy and the Leicester manager will be watching his former side Liverpool at West Ham as the Reds look to leapfrog the Foxes this afternoon.
