Patrick Bamford has jovially revealed he has himself in his own Fantasy Premier League team.

The Leeds striker would have pleased 47 per cent of FPL players with his goal and two assists in Sunday’s 3-1 win at in-form Leicester.

Bamford played in Stuart Dallas, who cancelled out Harvey Barnes’ opener, before putting Leeds ahead with a stunning strike in the second-half.

With Leicester pushing for the equaliser late on, the England hopeful found himself through on goal, but unselfishly squared the ball for Jack Harrison to slot home.

Bamford has recorded a whopping 116 FPL points so far this season – and has made sure to pick himself in his team!

He told Sky Sports: “It was nice to get the assists.

“I think a lot of the boys expected me to shoot on the last one, but Jack had it on a plate, so I couldn’t shoot there.

“I’ve got myself in my own fantasy team, as well! If I shoot there and I miss then it’s not worth it.

“So for the team we needed that extra comfort. It was important to score again.”

Bamford went on to praise his Leeds teammates by insisting there are ‘no egos’ in the squad.

He added: “We’re a strong group. We’ve added that extra bit of talent and skill in the summer.

“So we’ve got the Spanish lads and Raphinha as well.

“We’ve seen the impact they’ve had, but I think the main thing of the group is that everyone’s got their feet on the ground.

“There are no superstars, no one has got a massive ego, everyone’s together, so it works perfectly.”
