Tempers unsurprisingly frayed during the Milan derby on Wednesday night but the personnel involved is perhaps a surprise.
Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who were once at Manchester United together, had to be separated by teammates on the stroke of half time of the Coppa Italia quarter-final clash.
The strikers butted heads as they traded insults with Lukaku shouting ‘f*** you and your wife’ to the Swede, the Sport Bible reports.
It adds that Belgian Lukaku called the AC Milan star a ‘b****’.
Both players were booked for their part in the confrontation but Ibrahimovic appeared more in control than the Inter Milan frontman.
Ibrahimovic gave AC Milan the lead earlier, however, his game came to an end when he was given his second booking on 58 minutes.
Lukaku then made another mark on the game as he got Inter’s equaliser with a penalty in the 71st minute.
And it was Lukaku and Inter who had the last laugh with former Tottenham star Christian Eriksen scoring the winner in the seventh minute of stoppage-time.
