LIVERPOOL KNOW SALAH TRUTH
Liverpool ‘privately accept’ that Mo Salah will be the first of their Champions League and Premier League-winning players to exit the club, according to Eurosport. The Reds knew that Salah had an ambition to play at Real Madrid or Barcelona long before his own comments or those of his friend.
These latest reports claim that ‘it is not impossible that Salah leaves Liverpool in the summer of 2021 but it will depend on how situations open up elsewhere’, which basically means that neither Barcelona nor Real may be in a position to spend on the Egyptian next summer. Or alternatively, this might be quite the play to earn a better contract at Liverpool.
CHELSEA JOIN CAICEDO CHASE
There was much talk of Manchester United signing Ecuador midfielder Moises Caicedo on Wednesday but Thursday brings talk of Chelsea interest in the Daily Mail:
‘Chelsea scouts have followed his progress and the club have held discussions with intermediaries as they consider their own bid for the teenager, who has four full caps for his country.’
Newcastle and Brighton have also registered their interest in Caicedo but we think it’s fair to say that the Ecuadorean has moved somewhat out of their reach now.
SALIBA IN LIMBO
William Saliba will not be allowed to join a better Premier League team than Arsenal on loan in January because of the ‘optics’, according to the Daily Mirror. A ‘host of clubs’ are said to be interested in the Frenchman who cannot get close to the Arsenal side.
Meanwhile, Shkodran Mustafi’s agent Emre Öztürk claims that his client is in talks with Barcelona about a transfer. Obviously they did not watch that sh*t-show against Manchester City on Tuesday night.
