Liverpool beat Manchester United and Chelsea lost to Arsenal, causing the Champions League race to widen.

As the Premier League comes to an end, the race for top-four spots and Champions League qualification is heating up.

Despite Manchester City and Manchester United having secured two of the top-four spots, there is still a place left for Leicester, Chelsea, and Liverpool to fight for on the final day of the season.

HOW MANY RESULTS DOES LEICESTER NEED?

Tottenham and Chelsea play away from home and Leicester plays Chelsea at home, with Leicester on 66 points.

For the Foxes to earn a Champions League spot, they must win at Stamford Bridge.

Leicester must win their final game to keep above Chelsea if they draw with Chelsea.

Leicester could potentially miss out on Champions League qualification if Chelsea loses against them and Liverpool wins both of their remaining matches.

WHAT WILL CHELSEA NEED TO ACHIEVE?

Chelsea has 64 points and has two final matches against Leicester at home and Aston Villa away.

It would have been quite easy for Arsenal to get into the top four with a win over Arsenal, but Emile Smith Rowe’s winner put them under considerable pressure.

Should Thomas Tuchel’s side beat Leicester, they will control their own destiny in their Champions League qualification – and would only need to register the same result as Leicester on the last day.

Should Chelsea lose to Leicester and Liverpool and West Ham win, the Blues might need to win their Champions League final against Manchester City on May 29 in order to qualify for next season’s tournament.

HOW CAN LIVERPOOL ACHIEVE ITS GOALS?

In their final matches, Liverpool faces Burnley on the road and Crystal Palace at home.

Reds are hoping that Chelsea or Leicester win.

A 4-2 victory against Manchester United and a late Alisson goal against West Brom helped keep Jurgen Klopp’s side in contention to qualify for the Champions League.

The Reds will be determined not to take any chances, and expect to win both of their remaining fixtures to guarantee their Champions League progression. Chelsea, which needs a point to qualify, could lose both of their final games, and Liverpool would still qualify if they lose both of their games.

Liverpool will qualify for the Champions League with six points in their final two games.

In the worst-case scenario, Leicester would lose to Chelsea and lose by a large margin to Tottenham.

WHAT RESULTS MUST WEST HAM ACHIEVE?

At 59 points, West Ham faces West Brom and Southampton in their next two games.

The Hammers still have a slim chance of qualifying for the Champions League. To do so, they must win all of their last matches and hope Liverpool loses their games, Chelsea or Leicester do not accrue more than 67 points.
