Chelsea’s win over Fulham may have ended a three-game winless streak in the Premier League but it wasn’t convincing and now they face Leicester – live on talkSPORT.

It’s a make or break fixture at a hectic time for the Blues. Win and they’re back up with their ‘Big Six’ rivals, but defeat would see them lose ground and handed a loss by a team they are battling with for a top four spot.

It could also strike a blow to Frank Lampard’s long-term future at Stamford Bridge, with talk of his job being under serious threat continuing.

He’s choosing not to focus on any Premier League title talk right now, and insists the battle for Champions League football is all that is on his mind.

“We can’t consider too much the race as it stands, instead we have to consider ourselves – consider can we get a result against Leicester who are a competitor up there,” said Lampard.

“And then see can we get wins together that will propel us back up to where we want to be.

“But the race is relatively open, especially in comparison to recent years I suppose.

“Leicester are in the race for sure, the way they are playing and the results they’re getting and their position in the league.

“We managed to get above Leicester at the back-end of last season, but it was a big ask for us.

“They are a very good team, with very good individuals, we know that, and a really good manager in Brendan Rodgers.

“So they’re in the race, and there are others that are in the race too.”

Should the Blues win they would move into sixth, five points off top spot but having played one game more than most of their rivals.

Leicester, meanwhile, could go top of the division should they claim a win.

Chelsea team news

N’Golo Kante will miss Chelsea’s trip to his former club as he has been unable to shake off a hamstring problem in time.
However, defender Andreas Christensen will be available for Lampard’s men after knee trouble.

Kai Havertz looks set to be on the bench again as his manager sticks to his guns with his current midfield selection but the movement of Timo Werner could see him selected in a central role ahead of Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.

Callum Hudson-Odoi may also come into the team after his cameo against Fulham, while Kurt Zouma could also return.
