The magazine Goal reported that Zidane announced his resignation to the squad after considering that physical and mental fatigue might have motivated him to step down.

The manager dismissed rumors that his departure had already been made official behind the scenes.
Despite denying to Real Madrid players that he said he would leave the club in the past week, Zinedine Zidane said that he “would never, ever say something like that to our players”.

What Manager Said:
“How could I tell the players I’m leaving now? We’re giving our everything for the title and I just say ‘by the way, I’m off’?,”

“People outside the club can say whatever they like, but I would never, ever say that to my players.”

If Real Madrid wins next weekend and Atletico Madrid loses, they will claim the league title.
